Elsevier Workshop for authors

At the 2023 Solar World Congress, ISES is pleased to once again offer a special workshop on academic publishing with the publisher of the ISES journals - Solar Energy and Solar Energy Advances, Elsevier.
This workshop is structured to support researchers in their publication endeavours. It is intended for all researchers (PhD students, as well as Post-Doctoral and academic researchers). Special emphasis will be on writing scientific articles and how to approach the review and publication process. The workshop will cover the process of selecting a journal, the review process, tips for revising papers and other important topics authors should know before preparing a journal paper. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A with the publisher and the Editor-in-Chief of the ISES journal, Solar Energy Advances.
The workshop will be hosted by Elsevier.

Speakers

Dana Niculescu

A linguist by formation, Dana has been a publisher with Elsevier for 7 years. She is currently managing a portfolio of 12 journals in renewable and sustainable energy. Among the journals in her portfolio: Solar Energy, Solar Energy Advances, Solar Compass, Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Transition, Energy, Renewable Energy.

Franca Driessen

As part of the Physical Sciences Marketing team at Elsevier, Franca is responsible for bringing visibility and awareness to the Energy portfolio of journals. She helps new journals get established, and promoting innovative research in order to empower editors, readers and authors to choose the right journals for them. With 10 years’ experience in across journals, books and online products, she brings a breadth of knowledge on helping products and authors stand out from the crowd.
